sending sounds as quick notes on the zone

yeh yall

i was thinking we could have something on the zone where people could upload sounds in quick notes and send them to one another. maybe since there are some people on dial-up, we could limit the size or only make it so long, i think that'd be cool.

Or, Kevin, we could use them instead of emoticons with shortkey codes to get them to activate. Like laughter, crying, etc. Great idea!!!

I agree. Maybe this would be easier for me than to upload an audio profile, and others still might hear my voice. I think this idea is quite good.

kinda like freedom chat but what would be is you could have send quick note to in the combo box then there would be a thing thta says include sound in quick note it'd be a checkbox and you could type in the path or browse for it

ines i meant, those smily things in msn, well instead of doing those on here we could do sounds. like laughing, crying, etc. either way i like both ideas.

hmmm, this is sounding kind of complicated, though we don't know the powers of the admins! Maybe you all can wait and see what Chris or J might think of it...it does sound complicated, and well, I don't know how we'd manage it in things like quicknote history. There'd definitely be a lot of hurtles with this. don't be surprised if it can't be done.

I think it a good idea. Have the normal quick note box, but instead of having the send quick note button right after the message box, have a browse for sound eit box and browse button to upload a sound. Make the lenth only allowed to like 4 or 5 seconds or something. I also do think it a good idea to also have pre-uploaded sounds like on msn plus. So you could have a combo box to select a sound and you could also like msn type it in the message box like /laugh or something. A god thing then for dial-ip users, or for people who don't want to be annoyed, make a checkbox in the user account settings to ignore all sounds so dial-up users could still yse the zone.
